Hi, I just finished my first real race since my stress fracture. It was a half marathon. I finished in about 2 hours. It is slower than my previous best times, but it is FANTASTIC, considering I held my self back to keep from reinjuring the stress fracture, I had almost no running training, and I was coming off of a three month injury-induced layoff. Prior to today, the longest run that I had done since March was a 6+ run that I did last weekend! but even that was a walk/run effort. But today was all running. I was at a 9:15 pace, which is more than decent even without the challenges that I had.
So all this to say, I attribute the fitness level in large part to bikram yoga. And you for being my "first teacher"!
